Darlene

Darlene is a Necromancer who appears in the short story V Plates. She is stated by Nicholas Sorrentino to look at least sixty and 'not a well maintained sixty' and to have white hair. She is assumed to be the madam of the brothel in Philadelphia featured in V Plates, that caters to supernaturals. For an unknown reason she summoned and was controlling Vetala who she had possess the bodies of her girls, all of whom were dead. It is not known if she killed them or simply took advantage of their deaths to use their bodies as vessels for the Vetala. She was killed by Nicholas Sorrentino who snapped her neck to stop her control over the Vetala.
